Noam Pikelny & Friends
Noam Pikelny is widely regarded as the leading banjoist of his generation. Called the “pros’ top banjo picker” by the Chicago Tribune, he is a founding member of Punch Brothers, the acclaimed string ensemble praised by The Boston Globe as “a virtuosic revelation” and by The New Yorker for being “wide ranging and restlessly imaginative.” Pikelny received the inaugural Steve Martin Prize for Excellence in Banjo and Bluegrass and is a two-time IBMA Banjo Player of the Year. In 2019, he earned a Grammy for Best Folk Album with the Punch Brothers’ All Ashore. He currently performs with the bluegrass band Mighty Poplar and co-hosts The Energy Curfew Music Hour, a musical variety podcast with Chris Thile and Punch Brothers, released by Audible in Fall 2024.
