Blind Boys of Alabama with Special Guest Cory Henry
The Blind Boys of Alabama are internationally celebrated as gospel music legends. Honored with Lifetime Achievement Awards from both the NEA and the GRAMMYs, and inducted into the Gospel Music Hall of Fame, they have earned six GRAMMY Awards over a remarkable 70-year career. The group is known for transcending genres with powerful interpretations of gospel classics and contemporary songs by artists like Eric Clapton, Prince, and Tom Waits.
Their latest album, Echoes of the South, honors the legacy of longtime members Paul Beasley and Benjamin Moore, as well as recently retired leader Jimmy Carter. In recent years, the Blind Boys have continued to inspire, earning multiple GRAMMY nominations and releasing Spirit of the Century, the definitive book on their groundbreaking journey.
Joining them is Cory Henry, a musical virtuoso whose blend of gospel, funk, jazz, and R&B has earned worldwide acclaim. A former member of GRAMMY-winning group Snarky Puppy, Henry has worked with legends such as Bruce Springsteen and Kanye West and now leads his own genre-blurring project, The Funk Apostles.
